MAINTENANCE PORTER
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Position Overview
Join our team at Centerstone and make a difference! We’re seeking a dependable, hardworking Maintenance Porter to help keep our community visually impeccable and functionally sound. In this role, you’ll maintain the grounds and common areas so residents enjoy a clean, safe, and welcoming home, while supporting the maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the physical property is visually impeccable and functionally sound
• Maintain the upkeep of grounds and common areas, including pool care, trash pickup and disposal, breezeway cleaning, property pressure washing, and gutter clean out
• Test for, pick up, and dispose of pet waste
• Empty and restock pet waste stations
• Document and report issues found on the property
• Assist the Maintenance Technician with tenant trash outs
• Cross-train with the Maintenance Technician as needed or required
• Serve as backup for the Maintenance Technician
• Participate actively in the maintenance team group text
• Complete all required training and reporting
• Attend required meetings: weekly property team meeting, quarterly onsite meeting, semi-annual team building meeting, semi-annual training, and the State of Engage annual meeting
• Continually engage with team members to seek company efficiencies and improvements beyond the responsibilities above

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to regularly lift or handle 80-100 lbs
• Ability to complete all required training and reporting
• Willingness to cross-train and back up the Maintenance Technician
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
